Pool at The Cape Dutch Quarters

SWIMMING POOL

Our beautiful neo-classically inspired swimming pool is a life saver after a hot summer's day .

The pool lapa/covered pool terrace seats 12 comfortably and features large day beds, relaxing sofas and thick padded upholstery.

Equipped with a book and a glass of wine, it's tempting to spend the entire day there. The braai/BBQ is beautifully built out of local stone and may be used freely by guests.

COURTYARD AND GARDEN

Beautiful gardens lead through to shady courtyard spaces and calm sitting areas. Inspired by a dry river bed, our back garden is planted with 8 species of Buchu, 6 types of Restio and other indigenous plants. The garden is a haven for birds and attracts over 15 species, including the Cape Hummingbird and Cape Robin.

ROOF TERRACE

Opening in November/December 08, guest staying at our Tulbagh accommodation will be able to enjoy the sunny roof terrace on the second floor of the Old Bank building. The terrace provides spectacular 360° views of the valley over the thatch roofs of The Cape Dutch Quarters accommodation and Tulbagh to the mountains and valleys beyond.
