The restaurant serves upmarket French-styled cuisine offering an exciting menu of local and international dishes as well as extensive wine list. The restaurant always uses fresh, top quality ingredients.  The atmosphere at Pielows restaurant is jovial and friendly, especially after 10pm, when Collin and Theresa, the Irish proprietors, come out of the kitchen with a couple bottles of wine and mingle with their guests.

Readers Restaurant is an institution in Tulbagh, and on balmy summer nights there is nowhere else you would want to be than on Readers stoep enjoying a glass of Chardonnay.  Housed in the oldest building in Tulbagh's Church Street, and offering fine local and international cuisine and wonderful ambiance, Carol's quirky restaurant menu changes daily according to what is freshest and in season.  Her ostrich with Amarula berry sauce followed by a medley of homemade ice creams is a must.

PADDAGANG RESTAURANT, TULBAGH

Paddagang Restaurant, Tulbagh is a famous South African restaurant has a reputation going back to 1871.  The beautiful Cape buildings are complemented by authentic Cape cuisine and legendary Sunday roasts. The wisteria-draped courtyard is the perfect setting for any summer occasion in Tulbagh. The restaurant is open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, teas, dinner and wine tasting.

PALETTE RESTAURANT, TULBAGH

Palette Restaurant, Tulbagh offers light lunches up on the Victorian veranda, where one can watch Tulbagh's village life go by.  Relax under the restaurant's trees, taking a respite from the heat of the day with a glass of Tubagh valley's best.

THINGS I LOVE RESTAURANT & DELI, TULBAGH

Tulbagh's upmarket daytime deli, bakery and restaurant is situated in a beautifully renovated Victorian complex with lovely spaces and attention to detail.  Lunches on the restaurant's terrace in summer are a hit, as too are winter coffees by the restaurant's fire.

Forties is a fun, friendly and informal pub and restaurant, which is usually festive and ever popular with Tulbagh's locals. There is always some action happening at the famous bar called the 'Earthquake Bar', with the party hotting up after the sun goes down. Enquire within for dates of live music and parties at the restaurant and bar.

GOSSIP RESTAURANT & COFFEE SHOP, TULBAGH

Gossip Restaurant and Coffee Shop is where all the Tulbagh locals are for a quick mid-morning coffee and leisurely Saturday afternoon lunch.  It's Cape Dutch meets High Camp with the restaurant styled as an Art Nouveau playhouse, leading out onto a series of beautiful tabled courtyards. Michael Kenny is Tulbagh's famous 'singing chef', and he often serenades restaurant guests with operatic arias from the kitchen (and the stage if you are lucky).

KUIERBOSSIE EATERY, TULBAGH

Kuierbossie is an old fashioned down-to-earth eatery in Tulbagh's Main Road.  The restaurant is always festive and very popular with the Tulbagh locals. The restaurant serves tasty and generous portions of 'steak house' type food at reasonable prices.
